1. Acceptance

By accessing or using EV Charger Pins (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. The Service

EV Charger Pins provides a directory of EV charging stations aggregated from public and licensed data sources, combined with community-contributed content including reviews, check-ins, photos, and corrections. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that charger data, status, pricing, or availability is current or correct. Always verify before you drive.

3. User accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User-generated content

When you submit a review, check-in, photo, price report, or correction ("Content"), you grant EV Charger Pins a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, and display that Content in connection with the Service.

You represent and warrant that your Content:

• Is accurate and based on genuine experience
• Does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• Does not contain personal data of others without their consent
• Does not contain spam, hate speech, harassment, or illegal material

We moderate Content using automated tools and human review. We may remove any Content at our discretion without notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape or bulk-download data without written permission
• Use automated tools to submit fake check-ins, reviews, or corrections
• Attempt to circumvent moderation, rate limits, or access controls
• Use the Service to compete with EV Charger Pins by building a derivative database
• Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service

6. Intellectual property

The EV Charger Pins platform, brand, design, and software are our exclusive property. Underlying charger data is sourced from various providers; attribution is on our About page. Open data licences (including CC BY-SA from OpenChargeMap) apply to those respective datasets.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that charger information is accurate, up-to-date, or that a charger will be operational when you arrive. Use the Service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EV Charger Pins is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including but not limited to a depleted battery, failed charge session, or towing costs.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of our principal place of business unless otherwise required by local law.
